Glenlochy

Highland Western founded in 1898 - first Society bottling in 1989

Drawing its water from streams flowing off Ben Nevis, this was one of the distilleries bought by the redoubtable Joseph Hobbes (in 1937), who later bought nearby Inverlochy Castle (now a superb hotel), and established the Great Glen Ranch. Most has gone, but the maltings are now part of a leisure complex. Very rare as a single.
