Speyside (Lossie) founded in 1824 - first Society bottling in 1989An early establishment for this part of the world, the distillery used water from the burn which once fed the famous brewery of Pluscarden Priory, and filled the abbey with unutterable bliss Hiram Walker (Ballantine's) bought the distillery in 1935, and installed Lomond stills in 1964, though these were subsequently removed in 1981. First Class, this is not common.
