24.108 Ferrari screech (Limited edition label)

Initially, sharp and clean, with beeswax furniture polish, Refreshers, perfumed soap and washing powder, the nose developed fruit (blueberries, cherries). Then sweetness emerged; honey, wafers, macaroons, and Black Forest gateau, followed by hints of cured ham and (new shoe) leather. The palate was explosive and mouthwatering with swelling flavours of glacé cherries, lemon skin and Cranachan. The reduced nose was freshly citric (gooseberries, orange oil, lime pickle) with other fruity notes (syrupy fruit cocktail, jam) and a floral dimension (laurel, violet, elderflower). The palate now had lemon and cherries with a hot peppery finish. This Rothes distillery has beautiful gardens.
