This sample held the Panel’s attention for some time because of it’s evolving in the glass. Initial grassy notes turned into strawberry laces, cider apples and a hint of rolling tobacco. The sweetness increased with water – apple jacks, maple syrup and buttered fudge were found. The full strength palate had a fiery bitter mouthfeel. Green & Black’s chocolate with a chilli twist. Marello cherries and apples were in the finish. The reduced palate was very refreshing – mint leaves, cherry lips and apples. This easy to drink, refreshing whisky is from the Glasgow distillery near the north end of Erskine Bridge
