Floating Festivities
Friday 07 November 2008
Dundee, 4 Dec 2008Tasting new Society whisky is a voyage of discovery – an exhilarating and rewarding journey into the unknown. What better place to embark on such an expedition then, than on board the RSS Discovery in Dundee?
The vast wooden ship was built in the city in 1900 to take intrepid (and ill-fated) explorers Scott and Shackleton on their first research trip to the Antarctic. But on Thursday 4 December, you can undertake a research mission of your own – albeit a somewhat safer one – into the world of one of our special tasting events.
Members will be invited to enjoy their first dram with roasted chestnuts on board the main deck while the ship will be floodlit and carol singers will create a suitably
festive atmosphere.
The evening will continue with more tastings and a candlelit Christmas supper in the function room of the Discovery Point centre which overlooks the ship.
As an added bonus, we can also help you with your Christmas shopping – our stunning whiskies, presented in a gift box, will be available to buy on the night for your whisky-loving friends and family.
