Branching out into India

August saw the Society launch a new branch in India, with an event at the distinguished Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi. The hotel is located in the exclusive Lutyens area of Delhi and the party was a suitably stylish affair attended by national media luminaries.Also in attendance was Society managing director Paul Miles who acted as host for the evening and kept the guests thoroughly entertained with anecdotes surrounding the names of the different bottles. Paul said: “This is an exciting development for the Society in a country where consumers are very interested in Scotch whisky and single malts. The enthusiasm expressed by everyone attending this event, for what the Society has to offer, was very encouraging.”
