We bring you news of two 10th birthdays – in London and Italy. Our London Members’ Rooms at Greville Street (above) is marking its milestone on 30 November with an event featuring music from band ‘Licensed to Ceilidh’(more details), plus a cake and the all-important selection of five Society drams. London members should note that the opening hours at Greville Street have changed.The venue is now open from 8am to 11pm and breakfast is also available. Meanwhile, our branch in Italy is also celebrating a decade of single cask, single malt excellence. Alberto Ferrigato, who runs the Italian branch near Vicenza, has chosen Cask No. 125.22(‘Vibrant and Exotic’) to mark the occasion – it will be also be presented for the first time at the Whisky Festival in Milan in October. A special tasting event is also planned in a Palladian villa in Vicenza. See www.smws.it for more details.
