Enjoy a new Society experience at Hotel du Vin or MalmaisonElegant, luxurious and unpretentious – the award-winning Hotel du Vin and its sister company Malmaison are a perfect fit with the Society. With a passion for the finer things in life such as exceptional wines, plus stylish suites and fabulous decor, their boutique hotels are destinations in their own right.
But add in a unique Society twist and you have no excuse not to pay a visit. Three hotels – the Hotel du Vins in Brighton and Birmingham, plus Malmaison in Aberdeen – are currently offering members and non-members a special taste of the Society experience.
Each hotel stocks a fantastic range of Society whiskies and the three hotels are also offering exclusive preview bottlings on the Monday
before each monthly Outturn is released – so you can enjoy a sneaky peek at the latest bottlings before anyone else.
Pop in for a casual dram at the bar, have a Society whisky with your meal or arrange a more detailed whisky tasting event. Or even better, you can do all of this and more by making a night or weekend of it and take advantage of preferential room rates for Society members.
Bar staff from the three hotels visited our Members’ Rooms in Edinburgh to soak up the Society experience. Darren Ball,
the assistant bar manager at Hotel du Vin in Birmingham, said: “We spent two days there visiting both venues and gained a huge amount
of knowledge about the Society, its whiskies and how to advise people on what drams to try.”
He added: “When you come to the bar looking for a Society whisky, you can put yourself in our hands – and trust us to pick a
Society dram that suits you.”
Perfect prize - Win a night's stay (including a whisky tasting, three-course dinner and breakfast) for two guests in the SMWS suite at any of the three hotels by answering this question:
